From babycenter:
Your baby now looks like a miniature newborn, checking in at 10.9 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound. Her skin will continue to appear wrinkled until she gains enough weight to fill it out. Your baby's eyes are developed, though the iris (the colored part of the eye) still lacks some pigment. Your baby's lips are becoming more distinct, and the first signs of teeth are appearing as buds beneath her gum line.

I had my appointment this afternoon and it was pretty routine. Up 2.5 pounds (4 total), BP was 115/70, measured 22cm, I have my GTT in 4 weeks and I have a bladder infection. Absolutely no symptoms of that so whatever. Antibiotics for 5 days.
After all that, Doc asks about our BIG ultrasound and I told her I wasn't at all impressed with the technician. She was very blase about everything and didn't really focus or zoom in on the girly bits. I left that ultrasound feeling very uncertain and I don't like that feeling, especially when it comes to THIS. So, Doc says "Why don't we run back and take a peek? Maybe I can get a good shot." OMG, I *love* her!! She is simply THE best doctor EVER! She spent a good 5 minutes focusing on LO who was in the midst of her afternoon nap (little stinker) and we both came up with the same conclusion: definitely a GIRL! We saw the 3 white lines and I even got a picture! And the best part was hearing her say "That definitely looks like a girl to me!" FINALLY, someone said the words! Not just "Well, I don't see a penis." Ugh, whatever, lady.
So, I can be more confident now and actually start buying a few things. I've pretty much bought nothing (which is shocking) as I just wasn't feeling it. I am now! We'll have ourselves a Maggie or an Ella in just 4 months!!
